Jean Reno was born Juan Moreno y Herrera-Jiménez on July 30, 1948, in Casablanca, Morocco, to Spanish parents. He moved to France as a teenager, studied acting and adopted the professional name Jean Reno.
His collaboration with director Luc Besson produced roles in The Big Blue, La Femme Nikita and Léon: The Professional. Reno’s international work also includes Mission: Impossible, Ronin, Godzilla and The Da Vinci Code.
